Optional address and provider lookup

If address checking is available, the fragments you type pass through WateringDayCheck’s hosting service to Esri’s ArcGIS address service. A coarse, IP-derived area may influence the order of results; WateringDayCheck does not request your device’s precise location. It does not retain the fragments you type, the selected address, map point, or suggestion list. Choosing a complete suggestion sends that selected address to Esri to verify it and return a map point. Use of this feature is also subject to Esri’s product terms.

The address service does not identify or confirm the water provider by itself. WateringDayCheck uses the returned point only during the request to test verified service-area and rule data. An address match alone never proves a water provider or watering rule; if the necessary evidence is missing or ambiguous, the service gives no exact answer.

After a clean service-area no-match, WateringDayCheck may send only the map point and state abbreviation to an EPA-published Community Water System map hosted on ArcGIS to find provider candidates. The full address, ZIP code, street number, suggestion ID, and session token are not sent in that candidate request. A candidate still requires confirmation from a current water bill.

You can skip the address check and search the provider name shown on your water bill without using the Esri service.
