If you check an address

As you type, address fragments pass through WateringDayCheck’s hosting service to Esri’s ArcGIS address service. A coarse, IP-derived area may help show nearby suggestions first. WateringDayCheck does not ask for your device’s precise location.

If exact address checking has been enabled after review, choosing a complete address sends it to Esri once more so the service can verify the street address and return a map point. The address service does not identify or confirm your water provider by itself. WateringDayCheck uses the point during the request to look for a verified water service area and rule. If either cannot be established safely, we do not produce a watering-day answer.

If our own service-area data has no match, we may send only the map point and state abbreviation—not the address, ZIP code, street number, suggestion ID, or session token—to an EPA-published Community Water System map hosted on ArcGIS. That result can suggest a provider to confirm from your bill; it cannot prove the provider or create an answer by itself.

Our application does not retain the fragments you type, the address you select, the map point, or the suggestion list. Esri processes its requests under its Privacy Statement. Do not add a person’s name, account number, phone number, email address, or other private account details to the address field.

You can skip the address check and search the provider name shown on your water bill instead.

What we don’t save

We do not put your address, water-account information, map point, or lookup details in public page links, application logs, analytics, or browser storage.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics for aggregate visits, page views, and site performance. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. Address text, selected addresses, map points, provider lookup inputs, and watering answers are excluded from analytics.
